Want an idea for a fun casual evening out in Palm Beach?

Recently, I enjoyed an evening out without breaking the bank.

I wasn’t alone as my daughter was visiting from NYC along with her best friend from her college days at Georgetown.

So obviously my husband and I assumed the girls would want to be on their own a bit and meet us for dinner.

Well, that was until they heard we were heading to the COLONY HOTEL for a cocktail.

Immediately, they said they wanted to come along.

No wonder, there is no place as lovely as the poolside setting for a drink under the green scalloped umbrellas.

Whether just there for a drink on a lounge chair or dining at Swifty’s, there was fun for everyone!

From there, the four of us strolled along Worth Avenue to one of my favorite outdoor dining spots, PIZZA AL FRESCO.

The food is consistently good and always served with a smile, but the BEST is the setting.

My not-so-secret tip to locals who do not get to Europe every year is to dine in this courtyard.

If this place doesn’t give European vibes, no place will.

There are bougainvilleas covering the walls, potted blue hydrangeas (how do they do so well-I ask myself?) birds chirping and wrought iron clad windows from which one can imagine antiques bygone.

There’s nothing about this restaurant that I don’t love…and if it rains everyone grabs their plates and runs inside😊

Even better, they actually take reservations by phone 561.832.0032

FYI, it’s not just a pizza place.

To continue the evening on a sweet note, there’s nothing like a little Dulce a few steps further on via Mizner at PICCOLO GELATO.

This is how we end the perfect evening with a choice of over 20 flavors of gelato then stroll through the old Palm Beach Vias admiring the architecture, and of course window shop. Luckily for my husband, the shops are closed by this time😉

BTW my favorite is mint chocolate chip on a cone!
